Community Litter Pick

  • Aug 15, 2025

Once again, numerous residents raised concerns over litter on the outdoor seating area, near Ashton Primary Care Centre & Tameside Magistrates’ Court.

We collected numerous beer cans, bottles, broken glass, balloons, and two full nitrous oxide (laughing gas) canisters. All items have been bagged and reported to Tameside Council for proper disposal.

It was disheartening to witness the current state of this space. There is a clear and urgent need for investment and regular maintenance to restore and preserve the area as a clean, welcoming place for the local community to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who took part and supported the clean-up, thank you to the residents for taking pride in your local area.
