About me
I am proud to be standing as the local Labour candidate for St. Peter’s ward in the local elections in May 2026. I am a long-standing community activist who has spent the past 4 years working closely with residents, community groups, and local partners to support neighbourhood initiatives and speak up for the issues that matter most locally.

I was born in St. Peter’s, grew up here, went to school here, and continue to live and work in the area today. This community isn’t just where I’m from, it’s part of who I am.

Since 2022, I have been actively involved in a wide range of local projects, working alongside residents to address local concerns, support fundraising for charities, and deliver community events. I have led and contributed to initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion, and worked in partnership with local organisations to help make a positive difference across St. Peter’s ward.

Alongside this, I currently serve on several organisations, contributing my time to preparing for meetings, planning projects, and ensuring delivery for local people. I am honoured to hold the following positions:

-
Member of the Plan for Neighbourhoods Board - since April 2024
-
Governor at Tameside College - since December 2023
-
Trustee at Holy Trinity Community Centre and Church - since August 2023
-
Member of the St. Peter's Community Gathering - since June 2023

I have also previously served as a Board Member at Ashton Pioneer Homes and worked as a Customer Care Assistant at The LEAP Centre. A local charity focused on supporting children, families, and communities through learning, participation, and practical support.

Through these roles, I have developed the experience and skills needed to serve as a local councillor, including an understanding of public office, accountability, decision making, and the responsibility that comes with representing others. If elected, residents will be at the centre of every decision I make. I will work hard to secure investment for our area and ensure St. Peter’s ward is able to thrive and not survive!

I will be a strong, reliable, and accessible voice for you. Listening to you, advocating on your behalf, and working constructively to deliver real change.
My vision is for St. Peter’s to be a safer, greener, and cleaner place to live. Where young people are recognised for their potential rather than their postcode, where our elderly residents are supported to live well, and where women have access to greater opportunities.
Together, we can build a stronger and more inclusive community, and I hope I can count on your support.
