Baton of Hope - Tour of Tameside 2025

I had the privilege of volunteering for the Baton Of Hope UK tour as it passed through Tameside. A huge thanks to The Anthony Seddon Fund for bringing this historic and much need event to Tameside. It was a powerful day full of connection, conversation, and hope – all focused on raising awareness for suicide prevention.

Walking nearly 8 miles alongside over 40 incredible baton bearers was humbling. The conversations, the silence, the stories, the emotions were all reminders of why we must keep talking and keep listening. Thank you to everyone who shared their story, carried the baton, or stood on the roadside cheering the baton bearers on.

A massive thank you to Ben, Harry and the entire team at Anthony Seddon who spent the past year planning and preparing for this unforgettable day. And to every individual and organisation who supported this event from behind the scenes to the warm welcomes at every stop.
